Keep on the puke train

Last night we pushed hard. Today we learned to diagnose and treat shoulder dysfunctions. Oh it hurt so good. I'm tellin' ya folks, get a D.O. (or come visit) and they (me) could fix you up with the aches and pains that Tony brings regularly.

Jon said that he was gonna start here soon. How's that comin' Jon? He is studying away for the LSAT this Saturday, so everyone pray for him.

YOOOOGAAAAAA

It absolutely was harder this time around. We spent just a few more minutes watching the video than last time. It seems just after the "shoulder breaker under the thigh" move it gets dang hard. Then of course I can't lay on my back and kiss my own posterior, so some of the other moves are out too. But man do I enjoy it. I was noticeably more flexible this time too. But now the shoulders and back are talking to me. We need to see if we can't slide back and legs in today. That would be fun stuff.

Early

This week has been so hard to exercise in the morning. The kids have been getting up the same time as me or even earlier today 5:00 Emma was up! Um having little ones running around outside while I am sweating my guts out doesn't work so well. I am excited for Monday my new routine kicks in! I have Yoga and Back and Legs planned for the weekend with a little Ab ripper in the mix!

Arms are gonna be hurting

We actually have done the arms and shoulders bit three times now. So we are getting strong enough to really push it through the workout, and so we are gonna pay big time I believe. Chris was getting pains in his shoulders and arms while we were working out, so it especially doesn't bode well for him. We get to do yoga again today! Yippe!

New sort of goal...

i think that we might be limited to a 5 workout day week. It just all gets too busy I think. Yesterday we had some lame class group meetings, and Bree and Annie aren't feeling real super, so arms and shoulders today. For sure. It is going to rock.

No sweets huh Lori? I have been trying too. It is not fun.

Owee Wowee

plyos was not fun. Nope, no fun at all. But I need it to get the thighs not to rub together any more. I am having to push all the keys like 4 times before 1 will work. post will be more interesting next time.

Guess who is stronger already?

It's Chris. He's a flippin maniac. We did pretty dang good with chest and back last night, we got to the half-way point and didn't necessarily wish that we were dead. Personally hit all my numbers, except pull ups where I cheesed out at the end. We got through a bunch more of the Ab Ripper too, then wanted to die.

So my link didn't work last time. Just google "p90x spreadsheet" and you should be able to find a few places where you can download it.

Starting week 3

I have to say that I am starting on my 3rd week, but I am loving this stuff! I have only missed 2 days so far, and feeling really great. I am realizing sore muscles are gonna be part of my life for the next little bit, a and after the funny walk I have adjusted really well. I found my favorite in the P90 and its Kenpo X. So crazy all the bouncing around, and the nasty sweaty clothes after- Love it! Tyler after talking to you I had about and 45 min. of yoga I had put off, so I went and finished and I even did Plow all the way behind my ears!! I am still eating pretty normal but, cutting out extra sweets are you guys following a strict diet?

Took a day off

We have a test coming on Monday, so we took the day off yesterday and studied instead. Mental workout and all that. So instead, I have a more informational post: THIS is a spreadsheet that I use to track my workouts. All you have to do is put in your first day and it tells you what to do and you can keep track of what you do each time too. So handy. Though it may not work for the "lean" or other combinations that you can do

You are all contributors for a reason too. P and tell about how awesome you are looking, or how much butt you have kicked or something (minus you Amy, you post much on your own blog). It keeps me motivated, and I know it helps to know that someone else is counting on you too.

And here is some motivation too. You do NOT want to look like this. And I would like to see some other before pictures too. You don't need to post them here (wimps), but take one and keep it, for to compare when we are 3 months in. Workout on!

Any of you all using supplements of some kind?

Yoga is AWESOME!

I forgot just how good yoga is. So nice. No other comment. I am going to take this disgusting before picture then, since I am the only one to vote no so far. All you who want a glimpse of the white horrible chub are gonna get it. Save it as your backgrounds on your desktops. That will be up tomorrow.

Arms and shoulder are still here...

Wow, that was a fun one. We had to do it in the gym here on campus cause our weights are poopie. Did it ever work though... Chris is like a friggin' machine, always ready to push again. He had me running for my life. Soreness still to come I bet too. We did pretty dang good weight and finished fairly strong considering what we have been doing. We also did an abreviated Ab Ripper, cause it still makes us hate the Universe.

Man...

So I gave Chris the Plyo's DVD so he could try it out, and I couldn't get it to burn, so I didn't do it. Day 2 and I am already missing workouts. Hopefully we can get another set up and running so that if we have to do it separately, we can.

day 1 of the rest of my life

Hey Jon, don't worry about sending me the discs. Broke down and bought my own. So I did day one last night with one of my new study (studly) buddies Chris Palmer. We darn near puked. So good to be back. Did the following:
All push-ups I did sets of 13, cept for the hard ones (diamond, military, and divebomber) of which I did 10.
Did 5 of all the kinds of pull ups, and worked with 30 lbs on the lawnmowers and back flys.

We also worked through some of the ab ripper, but as I mentioned above... the puking.
